What does dramatic eye makeup mean? I get a lot of requests for from clients for dramatic eye makeup, which is exciting for me, because it pretty much gives me free reign on my choice of colors and style.
Drama can be created in so many ways from using bold colors to going all out and using glitter. The classic smokey eye is considered dramatic, but the sky is the limit, it all comes down to your personality and what you feel comfortable wearing.
When you’re looking for inspiration, look back to some of the most dramatic eras in makeup, from the sophisticated smokey eye of the 20s to the outrageous false lashes of the 60s and even all the way back to thick black khol eyeliner of Ancient Egypt.
The key is to go as wild as your personality can handle but a word of warning – best to keep the drama to night time, otherwise you’re risking looking like (… how do I say this politely?) Hmm, let’s just leave it there!
