Welcome to Ultimate Beauty Wisdom. My name is Emma Peters and I’m a professional makeup artist. I’ve been creating looks for fashion, TV, and feature films for over 13 years now, but I’ve been into makeup since long before I was even allowed to wear it!
I’ve built this site as a place to share my makeup tips & beauty secrets … or should I say “Beauty Wisdom”?!
Over the last several years I’ve noticed a definite problem for women when it comes to applying their makeup. And the problem starts long before she looks in the mirror and picks up a brush. So, what is it? The problem lies in how women were taught (or not!) to put on their makeup. More specifically, we each have a very uniquely shaped face, with uniquely shaped features, and needless to say, not all techniques work the same way on everyone. One size definitely doesn’t fit all!
As a makeup artist, I’ve developed my intuition to the point where I can look at any woman’s face and “see” exactly how to enhance their beauty, and hide any flaws. My job is to make every woman that sits in the makeup chair feel confident, sexy and beautiful. But most women don’t even know where to start to do this for themselves. And why would they? Makeup techniques are usually picked up from here and there, and practically never learned on an individual bases. And if you do happen to have had an individual makeup lesson, how can you be sure that the information passed on to you isn’t generic and less than flattering.
So after years of teaching women the best way to apply their makeup to enhance their features, I wanted to get a little scientific about it. This way there is no mistaking what is going to enhance and what is going to hinder your features.
And so Ultimate Beauty Wisdom 101 was born. This is a super simple, personal video makeup course with a difference. I have developed a way to see exactly how to bring your features into alignment with the “ultimate beauty proportion”. And yes, there is an “ideal” proportion that depicts whether someone or something is beautiful.
